Glastonbury Park

Features:

  • Large playground, built by GCL volunteers in 2011. 
  • Offers a small tot structure that’s perfect for the little ones with engineered wood fibre base
  • Also, has a large play structure, perfect for playing grounders.  Slides, monkey bars, large infinity climbing web and rotating net.  Mostly sand base with some pour-in-place rubber surfacing for accessibility.
  • 4 belt swings and 2 toddler swings.
  • Gazebo, numerous picnic tables and benches, Unfortunately, the gazebo cannot be booked ahead of time for parties, first come, first serve.
  • Porta-potty service, paid for by the GCL
  • Large green space for sports (numerous soccer pitches and 1 baseball diamond).
  • Please note: Glastonbury Park is NOT an off-leash dog park.  The nearest off-leash dog park is located at Callingwood Park @ 17740 69 Ave NW.

Summer only:

  • Spray Park (May long weekend – September long weekend).  Note, the spray features are on a timer for water conservation.  Touch flower to activate.  The water is not recycled, it is City of Edmonton drinking water.
  • GCL Fun Shack program: free, drop-in play program, offering games and crafts (July and August) 

Winter only:

  • Sledding hill.
  • Cross country ski loop, approximately 1.9km of groomed classic and skate ski tracks.
  • GCL Outdoor Rink and Ice Trail.
  • 5 Firepits. First come, first serve.  BYO chairs and wood.

Doug Kelly Park

Features: 

 A fun, little playground with various slides and swings (4 belt, 2 toddler).  Engineered wood fibre base.

  • Benches.
  • Asphalt pathways.
  • Near a lovely stormwater pond.

 Summer only: 

  • GCL Fun Shack program: free, drop-in play program, offering games and crafts (July and August).
  • Porta-potty service paid for by the GCL.

John Patrick Gillese Park

Features:

  • Redeveloped in 2019 by the GCL with major contributing partner, the Parkland Neighbourhood Residents Association (PNRA).
  • Small, natural-themed playground with monkey bars, slides and climbers. Engineered wood fibre base. Surrounded by green space and beautiful, mature trees.
  • Picnic tables and benches.
  • Little Free Library- book-sharing box.

The Grange Original Wood Park

Features:

  • This little wooden playground was the very first one in our community- built in about 1999 and it is still standing strong! It’s probably one of the few parks left with plastic slides. A cute park, good for the little ones, and it has a sand base.
  • Close to walking trails through Glastonbury Park.

Granville Neighbourhood Park

Features:

  •  New Playground, opened in 2020.  Built by the GCL in partnership with the Kim Hung School Fundraising Society.
    • Large playground offers a separate tot structure with perfectly-sized monkey bars and slides.  Multi-generation swing for parent and child, or multi-sibling. Engineered wood fibre base.
    • Sand play pod with playhouse and diggable, hidden fossils.
    • Colourful, large play structure with slides, bridges, net climbers and some unique pieces like the large web structure, surfboard swing and accessible merry-go-round.  The playground also features 4 belt swings and 1 accessible swing.  Mostly wood fibre base with some pour in place rubber for accessibility.
    • Picnic tables and benches.
    • Asphalt Walking trails.
    • Green space for sports like soccer and baseball (1 diamond).
    • Schoolyard offers basketball nets.
    • Little Free Library book-sharing box is available at the school entrance.

Please note: Granville Park is NOT an off-leash dog park.  The nearest off-leash dog park is located at Callingwood Park @ 17740 69 Ave NW.

Granville Getty Heath Park

Features:

  • Built by the developer in approximately 2012, this has a small playground with slides and low monkey bars for the little ones.
  • Benches.
  • Nice amount of green space surrounding it for playing your favourite games.   
  • Walking trail through the middle of the park.

Granville Blue Park

Features:

  • Built by the developer in approx. 2010, this small playground has slides and swings (1 tot and 1 accessible).
  • Benches.
  • Near a nice stormwater pond with walking trails.
