Neighbourhood Watch

You're the eyes and ears of our community

Have you noticed the bright orange signs posted throughout our community? The Glastonbury Community League strongly supports Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch and we encourage all residents to participate in this worthwhile crime prevention program. If you aren’t participating in Neighbourhood Watch yet, please join us today! And encourage your neighbours to do the same.

Neighbourhood Watch is simply about taking responsibility for securing your property, being a good neighbour and caring about our community. By acting together with dozens of eyes and ears alert for anything unusual happening in Parkland, Granville and the Grange, together we can deter crime. Everyone who joins Neighbourhood Watch plays an important part in making our community a safer, more friendly and pleasant place in which to live.

Neighbourhood Watch means no one is alone. Your neighbours will look out for you, your family, your home and your street, and you do the same for them. When you join Neighbourhood Watch, you’ll be doing your part to make your home, yard, street and community a safer place.

Report all suspicious activity

Whether or not you participate in Neighbourhood Watch, if you see any suspicious or unusual activity in our community, REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY to the Edmonton Police Service. Dial 780-423-4567 for non-emergencies, or 911 for emergencies.  You can also report suspicious activity via the EPS mobile app.

Don’t wait for someone else to call the police, because no one else may notice what you see—and by the time a crime is committed it could be too late for police to get here to intervene. This includes suspected acts of vandalism including graffiti and damage to public property, and suspected drug dealing in parking lots in our community.

Take the pledge and get a sticker for your household

Through the Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch’s door sticker program, if you pledge to participate in Neighbourhood Watch you’ll receive a reflective decal for your home. Contact us at enw@gclyeg.com to arrange to pick up a sticker.

Walk Your Block

Through the Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch Walk Your Block program, residents are encouraged to simply take a walk on a regular basis around your community. Take the time to meet and greet your neighbours, become familiar with the homes and vehicles that belong in your area—and if you notice anything or anyone who seems out of place, report it.
